Water-soluble and highly bioavailable
SunActive IsoQ is derived from rutin (extracted from the flower buds of the Japanese Pagoda tree) using Taiyo’s patented, solvent-free, enzymatic process. The result is a water-soluble dietary ingredient, chemically identical to isoquercitrin found in nature. Our unique microencapsulation technology allows for it to be well absorbed and then highly converted to free quercetin in the body.

Clinically studied
SunActive IsoQ has been evaluated in a clinical study with healthy human volunteers. The results, published in the Journal of Functional Foods, confirmed that SunActive IsoQ showed significantly higher bioavailability – 25 times higher than free quercetin. This allows for a 100 mg dose of SunActive IsoQ to deliver the equivalent of 275 mg of bioavailable quercetin providing significant formulation benefits.
